Artist's Comments

This is my first submission to deviantART, so I'm kinda flinging this out into cyberspace experimentally.

The figures here are Isis, Malik, and Rishid from the anime Yugioh; I was playing around with lighting, and thought that the brightness of the desert would be perfect. The scene isn't something out of the manga or anime (as far as I know), but I kind of pictured this as being near their first home in Egypt.

Now let's see if I can manage to post this sucker...

Thank you! ^_^ I had fun with the lighting :3

I love your Isis' pose ... your Rishids are always good ... but Malik's shadow is a little awkward. I found myself not liking it; the picture would be better if you fixed Malik's awkward pose ... or made it more like sun-blotting (which it obviously is ... nobody can have a shadow on the sky :D) you know ... blur it around a bit. Add sunbeams here or there. The rest of the piece, though ... impeccable as always. good job :)

Hmm...yeah, I agree with you on Malik's pose.. I think it might just need to be redone...the proportions or something are a little weird. Thanks for the suggestions!

Do you see it or after Battle City? Actually, it must be after. Rishid's there and the two you *can* see look older. I like it in colour!

Don't try to look mysterious. Smile, and let people wonder what the joke is.

I love this - the lighting is absolutely celestial. This may sound cheesy but you really captured the emotion of the event. It makes me feel fuzzy. :deviation:

Thank you very much! I had a lot of fun thinking about how to do the lighting for this, so I'm really glad it struck you, too! :)

It's absolutely gorgeous! Call me emo, but it really touches me :aww:
